In January, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released its economic outlook for the U.S., this was followed by a February release of President Obama’s budget for 2012. Meanwhile, Congress continues debating federal spending levels for this year through a continuing resolution (CR). Today, CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf discussed these federal budget and economic issues at an event hosted by the National Economists Club in Washington, DC.
